I participated in the Tour de Bronx cycling event on Sunday, Oct 15th, 2000, with my two buddies Greg and Willie. The Tour de Bronx is a yearly cycle tour sponsored by Transportation Alternatives, an organization devoted to promoting the interests of pedestrians and cyclists. I particularly like the Tour de Bronx because it affords the unique opportunity to sightsee in portions of the Bronx in which I ordinarily don't spend much time.

Please join me as I participate in the Tour de Bronx event. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

The cycle tour officially started at the Bronx courthouse at 163rd and Grand Concourse. At the courthouse, we gathered to listen to speeches.

After the speeches, the air horns were sounded, and we set off on our ride. The first part of the ride took us through the South Bronx.
