Our ride was serenaded by one rider who had attached a powerful stereo to his three-wheeled cycle. He provided peppy Salsa music to the riders who accompanied him as we rode through the Bronx. I photographed him as he adjusted the knobs on his boom-box.

We crossed over the Sheridan Expressway on the 174th Street Bridge, and headed down the Bronx River Road to the first rest stop in front of ABC Carpet.

After the first rest stop in front of ABC Carpet, we set off through Soundview Park. I realized in the park that I was already running out of memory on my camera, and we were only 1/3 through the bike tour! Oh oh . . . .

I decided to take fewer photos to conserve camera memory. The next photo (on the left) is of our second rest stop, in Castle Hill Park, where we had a beautiful view of the Whitestone Bridge.

After our second rest, we set off again, this time through Saint Raymond's Cemetery and into Throngs Neck.
