A virtual tour of my building in Washington Heights, New York City.

My neighborhood was developed in the 1930s, at the height of the Art Deco period. Consequently, many stunning Art Deco masterpieces dot the neighborhood, my building included. The exterior of my building reflects the period's sleek, stripped-down modern forms.

My building is a co-op. There are two buildings in the co-op: 720 and 730 Fort Washington Avenue. The official co-op web page talks about the technical details of the building.

Other buildings in the neighborhoold have more exhuberant exteriors.

Check out the building's front door and the address sign. The building lobby itself is an oasis of subdued Art Deco style.

The other building in my co-op complex is at 720 Fort Washington Avenue. The picture here shows both buildings (on the left). Besides being part of the same co-op, the two buildings share a little garden located between the two buildings. A garden club is actively planting in the area.
